In this Privacy Policy, we explain who we are, for what purposes we may collect and use your data, how we handle it, with whom we share it, for how long we keep it, as well as the ways to contact us and exercise your rights.

PERSONAL DATA PROVIDED AT THE USER’S INITIATIVE

- Assessing collaboration proposals.
Navigation on the website does not imply the provision of personal data (except the IP address).

In cases where personal data are communicated to XCELLENTALENT, this will be the entity responsible for the personal data collection and processing, while reserving the right to subcontract other entities to carry out such processing on behalf of and representing XCELLENTALENT. XCELLENTALENT guarantees that all entities subcontracted thereby to handle personal data on its behalf will be bound by contractual obligations with a view to preserving the confidentiality of the data and compliance with the legislation in force.

TRANSFER TO THIRD PARTIES AND STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA
If you are a candidate, we share your personal data with clients who have vacancies for jobs which you are interested in.
also share your personal data and, when necessary, special category data with third party service providers who perform services and functions on our behalf, such as:
- Conducting employment reference checks;
- Conducting qualification checks;
- Carrying out criminal convictions checks (as required);
- Verifying details you have provided from third party sources;
- Conducting psychometric evaluations or skills tests;
- Hosting personal data for us;
- Administering surveys or competitions on our behalf;
- Assisting us to communicate with you; and
- Providing research and mailing house or other direct marketing services.
We contractually require minimum standards of confidentiality and data protection from our third party service providers. If we need to send personal data outside the EEA, we will ensure that adequate safeguards are in place.
The user’s personal data will be kept in servers located within the European Union and no data transfers outside the European Union are contemplated.
RIGHTS OF THE PERSONAL DATA SUBJECT
The user has the right to access, view, change, limit, rectify and delete his/her personal data communicated by him/her to XCELLENTALENT at any time, by sending an e-mail to privacy@xcellentalent.com.
The user also has the right to withdraw his/her consent at any time (when the handling is based on that ground) and oppose the handling of his/her data for one or more purposes, as well as to request the transferability of his/her personal data.
Furthermore, the user has the right to complain to a supervisory authority which, in the case of Portugal, is the National Data Protection Commission (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados – CNPD).
PERSONAL DATA STORAGE PERIOD
We will keep your personal data for as long as we need to in order to fulfil the purpose we collected it for, which may be an ongoing purpose. For example, if you are a candidate, we will retain your personal data for the duration of our business relationship with you and beyond, as we often support candidates with job placements over many years and potentially throughout their careers.
We keep some personal data for longer than others. To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider factors such as the purposes for which we process your personal data, including any legal, regulatory, accounting and reporting obligations, the nature and amount of personal data that we hold about you, and the potential risk of harm to you from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data.
SECURITY MEASURES
XCELLENTALENT is committed to ensuring that the security of personal data that is provided to us is protected. Bearing in mind the great concern and commitment that XCELLENTALENT shows in the defence of privacy matters, several technical and organizational security measures have been adopted in order to protect the personal data made available to us against its diffusion, loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorized handling or access, as well as any other form of illicit handling.
Notwithstanding the security measures adopted by XCELLENTALENT, we are obliged to alert all those who browse the Internet to adopt additional security measures, namely to ensure:
i. You use an updated PC and Browser in terms of properly configured security patches, with an active firewall, anti-virus and anti-spyware programs; and
ii. The authenticity of the sites you visit on the Internet, while avoiding websites whose reputation you do not trust.
